Pool Fees Tiers

A fee tier is the percentage of the liquidity provider fee that swaps pay when swapping.

When providing liquidity you will receive your share of the collected fees. These get shared equally with all the liquidity providers in the pool.

Providing liquidity on Perplex:

  • Perplex only has a 0.3% fee tier.

  • In Perplex the fees are auto compounded into the liquidity pool. This means for every swap the fee will go back into the pool, increasing the value of your position.

  • When removing your liquidity positions, fees are collected with the liquidity.

Order Book

Maker Fees

These are fees paid by the "makers" who provide liquidity to the market. Makers are users who place orders that don't execute immediately (post-only). Instead, these orders are added to the order book and wait until another user matches them.

Since makers help to "make" the market by providing more trading options, they enjoy lower fees compared to takers. On Perplex, maker fees are 0.1%.

Taker Fees

These fees are paid by the "takers," who remove liquidity from the market. Takers are users who place orders that match immediately with existing orders on the order book.

Because takers remove choices from the order book by fulfilling existing orders, they pay higher fees than makers. On Perplex, taker fees are 0.2%.
